When our existing client decided to build a vacation home, they hired us to create a complete design from concept – to – build for their new project. The goal was to create a serene, warm and welcoming atmosphere that oozed texture and warmth. We used cashmere tones as the design foundation for the entire home, building on the serene and inviting color tones with intricate details, elegant oversized lighting, lush fabrics and textiles and subtle use of design from flooring to wall colors, very subtle changes in wall colors, using lighting to bring in elegance, softness, doing everything from layout on flooring. Each room has a distinct feeling but are not matchy matchy. Sensory, warm and soothing, the mood is tranquil but the details are brilliant and striking
House of Cashmere

There’s nothing like a dramatic entrance and this foyer delivers one the simplest of ways. We combined the porcelain wood plank floor that was used with the bedrooms with the large format porcelain floors used throughout the house and put the look together in a single tile for the foyer. A series of three stunning chandeliers illuminate the original artwork and spread light forward into the home and towards the amazing backyard views visible from the entryway .

A wallpapered ceiling, a commissioned piece of art, and special touches such as custom molding to disguise drapery hardware, lend this dining room its unique sense of warmth and space. Individual couture – inspired buckles on the back of each dining room chair make the back as appealing as the front.

For the wet bar, we anchor the space with the unexpected. Rather than using a mirror or piece of artwork, we made the backsplash a work of art by designing a custom – made tile starburst comprised of individual slivers of marble.

Less is more in most cases and here we kept the movement and color subdued to better accent the room’s real star: the custom tile backsplash. Purity of line and tone are reflected in the kitchen’s simple quartz countertops and the seamless quartz waterfall wrap on the island, while lighting of long cylinder – shaped glass bars suffuses the room.
A fetching but modest table with twisted base is an easy space for enjoying a light meal or a game of canasta.

The living room flows directly from the kitchen and features glass doors that bring the outside in, opening directly into the outdoor dining and pool area — with so much space, less is more. Soft cashmere tones set the mood, which is accented by custom details and sumptuous texture – – think exquisite leather chairs, porcelain built – ins with soft backlighting and nail head trim on the sofa

This cozy, more intimate room is anchored by a deep plush sectional and custom built – ins. A clever hidden desk tray delivers plenty of office space when needed and disappears when not in use. We wanted this to be an inviting and quiet space, perfect for tucking into a good book or watching a movie with grandkids.
To add interest, we used a collage technique on the chairs, introduced some tangerine pops of color and added a dramatic coffee table with textured stone edges.

Uniquely designed guestrooms keep things interesting. The room with lavender accents give the wood porcelain floor tile new life as a custom headboard and wood veneer wallpaper brings texture to the ceiling.
The more artsy, tangerine – accented bedroom gets glass – top side tables and playful wall sconces. A beautiful capiz shell chandelier lends a shimmery quality to the lighting in this room.

Dramatic hardware set against a glossy flat cabinet topped with a beautiful custom marble piece gives this intimate powder room a stylish vibe.
Here, chunky countertops and bold hardware accents give the guest bathroom some panache.

French doors open into the space to create a more transitional feel.
Clean pure lines and abundant fresh light bring focus to the stylized hardware, quartzite counters, mirror cutouts and wall sconces with a bangle detail – a nod to high fashion

Rethinking the purpose of a bedroom wall, we transformed an original painting into wallpapered panels to form the look of one large hand – painted mural, nicely grounding the space. Playful fluted custom light fixtures hang from the oversized ceiling and a custom bench with Lucite legs add simple, yet lovely accents.
An initial concept of adding a master bedroom coffee bar gave way to another idea. We added a desk nook with chunky shelving, beautiful floral wallpaper, and a soft, petal pink desktop compose a perfect little spot to write, read, or reset.
